Cup Day Web : Slow Down

Anyone on the net today (1st November 2005) will have noticed the considerable slow-down.

Observer Overnighters - Melbourne Radio 3AW

Theres something I like about radio that interacts with a web site. A great example is Observer Overnighters presented by Keith McGowan for the past 16 years on the Midnight-Dawn shift.

Weeknights MELBOURNE has its own culture that lives in the ‘wee small hours’ between Midnight and Dawn.

Batmania

Batmania is a fun way to explore the people and events surrounding the foundation of Melbourne.

Do the historical documents portray the true story? What were the motives of the main players? What was John Batman really like? Fact or fiction - you decide.

Saturday afternoon in Jolimont

I had read a story about the origins of Jolimont in 'History Trails in Melbourne' by W. Lloyd Williams. We were retracing the steps our author had taken in 1957 walking down Agnes Street and telling us what we would have seen in 1839.

Shut Up & Shop

I first saw the SHUT UP AND SHOP line, scrawled on a wall in what is now a very trendy, inner-city street. It was funny. I was shopping. And I liked the irony.

graffiti, Interviews, Old Stickers, Gay Football Men, that Hanson pic and the great Tram Con.
